Established in 1876, ACS is the world’s largest organization focused on chemistry. ACS has more than 150,000 members in over 150 countries. The organization seeks to advance chemistry through scientific research and collaborative efforts. ACS also hosts numerous regional and national meetings so members can gather and share scientific and technical information. The organization’s 256th annual meeting and exposition took place August 19-23, 2018, in Boston. Attracting more than 14,000 chemists, academicians, students, and engineers, the five-day event featured scientists presenting papers and posters pertaining to chemistry.
